The WRSS Community Foundation is a proud member of the "Partners in Caring" campaign to expand cardiac rehab programs currently offered by the Mel Edwards Centre.

Working in partnership with the City of White Rock, the Fraser Health Authority and the Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation, the WRSS Community Foundation is raising funds to build the new Centre for Health Improvement on land at Centennial Arena. This unique project, the first of its kind in British Columbia, brings together funding from seven partners and combines two community projects – the Peace Arch Curling Club expansion and the Centre for Health Improvement development.

The WRSS Community Foundation has marked this project as its flagship campaign and is working diligently to raise $500,000 by 2011.

On October 23, 2008, at Peace Arch News Vintage Affair, Tom Muldoon, President of WRSS Community Foundation presented Dragana Sanderson, Chair of Peace Arch Hospital & Community Health Foundation with a $100,000 cheque designated to "Partners in Caring" and the new Integrated Centre for Health Improvement. This is the second $100,000 cheque, marking $200,000 of the White Rock South Surrey Community Foundation's committment of $500,000 to the project.
